Anapanasati

Anapanasati is a Pali term meaning 'mindfulness with breathing'.

It is fully explained during the course of the retreat.

Buddhadasa Bhikku dedicated much of his life to understanding and practicing the Anapanasati Sutta.

This was a teaching given by the Buddha on meditation using the breath as the meditation object

The sutta consists of sixteen stages of meditation, grouped into four tetrads, or groups of four.

The method of anapanasati does not distinguish between concentration meditation (samadhi) and insight meditation (vipassana).

Books are available for sale at the end of the retreat which include Buddhadasa's instructions on anapanasati: 'Mindfulness With Breathing: A Serious Beginner's Guide', and 'Anapanasati Bhavana Meditation'
