Adjusting Sleeping Patterns

 

You will be woken by the bell at 4am each day during the retreat. Failing that, you will be woken by one of the friends banging on your door at 4:15am.

 

If you normally wake at 10am each day, this could be a difficult change. If you normally wake at 8am, it may be an easier change. It can be beneficial to progressively wake up a little earlier than usual each day before you enter the retreat.

 

Having a series of late nights immediately before the retreat will possibly result in a pressing sleep deficit and extreme tiredness early in the retreat.
